The Kentucky Story
KYfilm.org works to bring film and television production to the Bluegrass State — connecting producers with crew, infrastructure, and a state that’s ready for your production.
Our Mission
KYfilm.org and 859filmgroup exist to grow Kentucky’s film and television industry by giving out-of-state productions the information and contacts they need to choose the Bluegrass State. We connect producers with skilled crew, production infrastructure, and local support — making Kentucky a reliable, competitive destination for features, TV series, streaming content, and more.
Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars were born in Kentucky. We’re bringing production home.
Professionalism
We point productions to experienced Kentucky crew.
Reliability
Productions need partners they can count on. We’re here from pre-production through wrap.
Community
We build lasting relationships between filmmakers, crew, and local communities across the state.
Growth
Every production that shoots in Kentucky creates jobs, builds skills, and grows the industry.
